Wild Carrot and The Cantrells are both contemporary acoustic country/folk husband & wife duos. They are part of our special Homefront celebration of Valentine's Day.

Steve Rector is a nationally award winning guitarist in the Merle Travis "thumbpicking" style; he's teaching the techniques to 15 yeqar old Krystal Miller as part of an apprenticeship program sponsored by the Kentucky Folk Life Program, and with Steve's tutelage Krystal is becoming quite an accomplished picker herself. They will be performing together and provide a good example for passing on a musical tradition.

The Phelps Family Band performs traditional bluegrass and represnts three generations of musicianship.
