The mission of the Kentucky Theater Project is to support community artists and, through their art challenge beliefs and inspire self-reflection and public dialogue for social change.

Located in the historic Kentucky Theater in Louisville’s original entertainment district known as Theater Square, Kentucky Theater Project touches and affects thousands of people who otherwise would not experience the fulfillment of creative expression.

In support of its purpose, Kentucky Theater Project conducts
activities through four initiatives:

• Youth and Education Initiative
• Cultural Heritage Initiative
• Independent Works Initiative
• Community Initiative
