CAREERS
PROGRAM
The knowledge and skills that youth develop in learning to respond to, perform, and create works of arts constitute a fundamental form of literacy students must have if they are to communicate successfully and function in today’s new media and information society.
The Careers Program brings youth
and artists together after school for intensive, authentic experiences so
young people may develop a love for the arts as they refine their abilities
and talents.
The Careers Program enables youth to explore the range of career possibilities the arts can provide, including careers in performing and visual arts, graphic design, audio-visual production, photography, interactive arts technology, and arts administration.
The Careers Program has the following components:
